Another great book from the "Gang Mills Cooks". This time it is the best cake recipes that have stood the test of time, selected on their yummyness as tested by family and friends over generations. Again it is an interesting read before you even get started on the baking part. I love the comments about each recipe. Contains interesting different recipes not just your usual ones.Straight forward instructions and also lots of cake baking tips.
I ordered and downloaded this cake book and recieved an ebook with a cake cover but filled with casserole recipes???The recipes look good but I was looking for the old time cake recipes.
Wow! What a cleverly written cookbook! The author adds a unique twist to the content by including photo's of people who were cooks. These photo's span a great length of time in the history of the Gan Mills Cooks series. The content of the book is well thought out and very organized. Can't wait to get cooking!!!!!!!!!!
Hmmm, I read all the reviews that were about casseroles, but one was cakes. Mine turned out to be cakes too! Will there be a cakes one?? The index shows cakes. Please help. I think I might like the casseroles though. Will let you know.
Recipes sound great however the book title says"Cakes"and all the recipes are for casseroles. Not sure what happened here but maybe they should edit the cover don't you think?
Great selection of cake recipes with some extra things like brownies added in. Easy to read, the directions are great and because of the ingredients the end cake will be tasty.
This cookbook has a good array of cake options (and frosting and brownies) which is enough to have me recommend it.
But, the best part is that all of the recipes have been passed down through the author's family so you know they're the real deal.
